Simple Questions of Moral Courage

Moral Courage,

I was drawn to the site below when I read the statement from Stefan F. Cook Major US Army and the Moral Courage it took to ask a simple question about Obama’s birth certificate.

President Patricia J. Harned, Ph.D. said the following about Moral Courage. http://www.ethics.org/erc-publications/ethics-today.asp?aid=712

I have had the opportunity to learn about moral courage over the last few years by just asking simple questions. This is what happened when I asked, where is the actual law that I could read about paying income taxes? When I asked over and over again (in writing of course, certified mail) all I ever got in response from the IRS was the following. They sent letters making fun of me, acting like they never got my letters, threatening me that I could get in a lot of trouble and be fined and or penalized for asking such a thing! It was just a question so I could know what the law actually is. All I did was ask, but never got a direct response, why? Why is it so hard to give a simple answer? Just like the many Americas asking about Obama’s birth certificate.

Our country and communities should ask more questions of what just seems to be the status quo and or etched in stone or just assumed to be fact. I believe that Major Cook is brave and courageous man to the nth degree just because he has asked a simple question, where is Obama’s birth certificate? I pray and hope many more of us can find this simple question to be one we all would like an answer to. If these simple questions among many others cannot be answered, how can we claim to be the best country in the world?

Lucky 13?

July 13, 2009 blog writing

The 13th is just one of all my luck numbers. And I mean all numbers are lucky for me. That said 13 does seem to be more predominate in my daily life. As a for instance I got an email today from Neale Donald Walsch about luck and the number 13.

Excerpt ” ….that there is no such thing as an unlucky number — such as “13″ — or an unlucky event, such as crossing the path of a black cat. You make your own luck.

Yet luck, in truth, does not exist, if you define “luck” as ”unexpected good” emerging “out of thin air” for no apparent reason.  LUCK is an acronym: Love Undergirding Creationist Knowledge.  When you use the knowledge of how to create things in your life (”The Secret”), you must do so from a place of love, never from a place of fear.  Fear pushes what you want away from you.  Love draws it in.

You cannot create healing from an illness, for instance, if you are in fear of the illness itself and seek to create from that place. Nor can you create abundance from a place of money worries.  In either instance, you will have no “luck” at all.  Creation starts from a place of LOVE.  Loving what IS, and loving what is to come! ”

Today is the 13th and just another day of good luck and good fortune for all of us..

Namaste’

Robert
